Materials needed:
*2-3 yds knit fabric (jersey, sweater, anything that has a minimum 25% stretch across grain)
*Polyester thread
*Bias binding for knits (I cut 1 ¼ ” bias strips from a lightweight knit fabric for my knit bias
needs! I don’t worry about matching the fibre content, I just make sure that none of it is
shrinkable)
*Sewing machine
*Serger (really helps to have one, or you can try a serging stitch on your sewing machine)
*Ball point needles for your sewing machine
A ½” seam allowance is included but not marked on this pattern.

RSF, pin sew and serge sleeves to bodice. Start pinning from the side seams, moving in toward the shoulder seam, easing curved edges to fit. There should be some excess fabric on the sleeve for ease.

Lay the bodice on a flat surface with the back facing Right Side up.

Taking the front bodice piece that’s on your upper right, fold it across the back (bottom centre piece in picture) and match up the side seam bottom corner with the back bottom left corner.

Serge seam, and you can choose to reinforce seam by straight stitching along the back seam only, from side seam to side seam (if you stitch all the way around, it will break when you stretch it). Press waistline seam flat.
